practice composition:

With the end coming, I know that the dead will rise again. We hear the screaming children in the shadows. Life is shorter for everyone now. We had gathered supplies to survive the winter. The fear with which we live, though, will destroy us.
The walking dead fill the empty streets. Distracted by loud noises, they chase us to eat us. I will be eaten within the hour. I hope that my death is given quickly.
